Splashshopper support missing category list12/25/2023 ![]() The Treo BT never had a problem, but the Ultralight doesn't like that setup at-all. Example: I usually had the Treo (650 and 700p) in my left-hand shirt pocket, and the headset in my right ear. That said, the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) does a fantastic job of reducing the greater part of any background noise.Īlthough the Ultralight has much greater range then the Treo BT, it doesn't deal as well with having obstacles between itself and its Treo. At maximum, I find that I still put a finger in my other ear to hear my caller. The Ultralight provides greater clarity then the Treo BT Headset, but fails to provide a much-needed boost to volume. It sure looks sharp, but does it deliver the goods? Well, mostly. Without a doubt, this is the headset for the Treonaut who wants their wee beauty to become a snazzy fashion-statement. It uses a AAA battery, and Palm claims that it extends the headset's talk-time to 9 hoursĪll of this gear comes in a sexy/sleek metal case. When you receive an incoming call from the Treo, the case will vibrate, and you can then stick-it-in-your-ear -)ĥ) A second module that plugs into the bottom of the charging tube. This slender tube holds/charges the headset (via the Treo charger), and secures it in your shirt/jacket pocket when out and about. It is incredibly light, blocks out background noise, and comes with a kit that would do James Bond proud:ģ) An 'over-the-ear' loop, if you don't trust the gel to keep the headset in your earĤ) A charger/pocket silo. This is a re-branded Plantronics Discovery™ 645 Ultimate DSP Bluetooth® Headset, modified to work exclusively with The 2 Treo 700 devices, and the Treo 650 (the charger connections use the Treo charger). So, it was with real glee that I opened a recent shipment from Palm's Product Communications Dept: On the downside, it is one of the more dorky-looking headsets on the market, doesn't block out background noise (in a convertible, this is a real issue), the volume is only 'OK' and it doesn't like to be more then a few feet away from the Treo. Good battery life, uses the same charger as the Treo, good sound, light and doesn't stick anything into my ear. ![]() Over the past 2 years, I have been extremely happy with Palm's Treo BT Headset. Second, and most important: the laws regulating use of phones in autos have stiffened to the point where the fine (and in NJ, 3 years of additional surchages) costs more then a good headset. I then do my copy/paste to the store "need" and as I get the item I delete it from the "need" list.Anyone carrying a mobile phone needs a wireless headset.end-of-story.įirst of all, if you are used to being tethered to your device by fiendishly tangled wires, then a wireless headset truly sets you free. So when I make my shopping list the store total is a good reminder to look to see if I have enough of something. I then copy/pasted the word docs to the Palm desk top "memos" & then sync to the BB. Then I made other Word doc for each store "total". Then I made another Word & included headings such as Frozen, Grocery, Deli, Meat, etc, and did a copy paste from the total to the new "Shopping by Dept". ![]() So what I did was to type my 150 items into Word titled Total shopping. I looked at a "high rated" one for the BB but although it had a lot of pre-entered items, I wanted specific brands/types.& as far as aisle go. But you needed to add each item, but once in you were good to go. I had the Handy Shopper, a great app on my Palms from the Pilot to the Treo.
